Chile, 35 Years: The Pinochet Dictatorship and its Aftermath

The Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies at the Watson Institute, Brown University, RI, organized a lectureship entitled, “Chile, 35 Years: The Pinochet Dictatorship and its Aftermath," to take place on September 12, 2008, commemorating the approach of the sixtieth anniversary of the Untied Nations’ “Universal Declaration of Human Rights.” Sponsored by the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies and the Herbert H. Goldberger Lectureship Fund, this series will bring together leading scholars of Chilean history, politics, and economy to Brown University for a sequence of lectures on the Pinochet dictatorship installed in Chile in 1974, and its aftermath.
